ASAS e-bulletin:
The ASAS e-bulletin is a new project to improve communications to our membership. By starting this electronic bulletin we hope that we can keep you better informed and enhance communications to you. http://www.asas.org/bulletin_home.asp

Images Web site:
This site is designed to provide images, animations, and video for classroom and outreach learning. The Animal Science Image Gallery is a collaborative project of the USDA National Agricultural Library and the American Society of Animal Science.

QTL Databases:
JAS encourages deposit of QTL and DNA markers in publicly available livestock QTL databases after publication. The following is an excerpt from the 2007 JAS Style and Form regarding deposit of QTL and DNA markers:

Quantitative Trait Loci and DNA Markers. Papers that publish quantitative trait loci or DNA marker association results for livestock are strongly encouraged to make their data available in an electronic form to one of the publicly available livestock QTL databases after the manuscript appears in publication [note that the date on which the paper is posted to the JAS-Papers in Press Web site (http://jas.fass.org/papbyrecent.dtl) represents the official publication date]. Current QTL databases for livestock include, but may not be limited to, the Animal Quantitative Trait Loci database (http://www.animalgenome.org/QTLdb) and the Bovine QTL database (http://bovineqtl.tamu.edu/).
