Erratum

The published paper by Castro Bulle et al., "Growth, carcass quality, and protein and energy metabolism in beef cattle with different growth potentials and residual feed intakes" (J. Anim. Sci. 2007. 85:928–936, doi:10.2527/jas.2006–373), contains an erroneous statement in the Abstract (pg. 928) and repeated in the final paragraph of the Discussion (pg. 935), as follows: "Residual feed intake may be negatively correlated with ME for maintenance". The word "negatively" should have been "positively". Also, on lines 10–11 of page 935, the words "total maintenance energy" should read "total metabolizable energy". All other statements concerning the correlation of ME for maintenance and residual feed intake are correct, as are the data contained in Table 7 (pg. 934).
