Abstract

Announcements about meetings, personnel changes and other items of interest to the Society should be sent to the Technical Editor, Journal of Animal Science, 309 W. Clark St., Champaign, IL 61820. Approximately 90 days should be allowed from date of submission until receipt of the Journal by the membership. These announcements are edited and published free of charge.

The VII International Symposium on Ruminant Physiology will be held August 28–September 1, 1989 in Sendai, Japan. The theme of this symposium will be physiological aspects of digestion and metabolism in ruminants. The scientific program includes both eight main sessions and short Communications in poster form. A proceedings will be published. Abstract manuscripts must be received in final form no later than February 28, 1989, together with the registration fee.
