Western Section ASAS 1988 Distinguished Teacher Award

Abstract

Dr. John A. Froseth is a native of Wisconsin and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wisconsin State University, River Falls. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from Purdue University. From the outset of Dr. Froseth's professional career at Washington State University in 1969, he has established himself as a superior teacher in the field of nutrition and swine management. He has always been highly dedicated to directing a genuine learning experience, and he is constantly challenging students to think, reason and solve problems. Dr. Froseth has had sole responsibility for teaching 11 different formal courses at every level in the Department of Animal Sciences at Washington State University. Without exception his courses are viewed by the students and faculty alike as being outstanding.

In addition to being recognized as a superior communicator, Froseth also teaches others his high standards for communication.
