New Books

Abstract

Announcements of new books should be sent to the Technical Editor, Journal of Animal Science, 309 W. Clark St., Champaign, IL 61820. The charge is $50 (minimum) for a 2-inch, one-column announcement plus $25 for each additional inch (or portion of an inch). Announcements will be edited; ordinarily they will not exceed 2 inches.

"Animal Husbandry at Cornell University: A History and Record of Development from 1868 to 1963" is the title of a new book authored by Kenneth L. Turk, Professor of Animal Science Emeritus and formerly head of the department. This 300-page paperback book presents a chronological history of the men and women in animal husbandry (now animal science) in teaching, research and extension from the earliest days of the university through 1963. It contains more than 100 photographs. Copies may be ordered from the Department of Animal Science, 158 Morrison Hall, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853-4801 at a cost of $15.00 including postage and handling.
