1988 National Block and Bridle Club Outstanding Senior Awards

Abstract

FIRST PLACE

Ms. Rosie Demuth, an Animal Science major from South Dakota State University, is the recipient of the first place Outstanding Senior Award. Rosie was raised on a crop and livestock farm near Egderton, Minnesota. Rosie has maintained a 3.97 average and has been on the Dean's List each semester of her college career. She has received numerous scholarships, including the Harold Arendt Memorial, A. A. Hofer, SDSU Alpha Zeta, Mortar Board, National Alpha Zeta and the National Block and Bridle Club Junior Award. Rosie is a member of Alpha Zeta, Mortar Board and Phi Kappa Phi. During her senior year Rosie's B and B activities involved service as Block and Bridle Club President, participation in fund raising events, formal initiation, float building, chapter yearbook, and many others. She competed on the Junior and Senior Meats Judging Teams and the Wool Judging Team. Rosie will be attending graduate school at Kansas State University in meat science.
