Announcements about meetings, personnel changes and other items of interest to the Society should be sent to the Technical Editor, Journal of Animal Science, 309 W. Clark St., Champaign, IL 61820. Approximately 90 days should be allowed from date of submission until receipt of the Journal by the membership. These announcements are edited and published free of charge.

ATTENTION AUTHORS: Effective immediately, a revised Manuscript Submission and Copyright Release Form is to be completed and submitted with each manuscript. This single form replaces the Commitment to Single Submission and Assurance of Content and the Copyright Release forms. It is emphasized that this new form is to accompany manuscripts at the time of submission to the Journal of Animal Science. A copy of this new form can be found in this issue and subsequent issues of the Journal of Animal Science.

Martin J. Burris retired from Montana State University on June 30, 1987 after 21 yr, including 14 yr as Associate Director of the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station and the past 7 yr as Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics.
