Placement

Abstract

The procedures to be followed by prospective employees and by firms or universities in the submission of information to be listed in this Placement section may be found in the Placement section of the July 1984 issue of this journal.

The Department of Animal Science at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, is seeking an Assistant Professor of Animal Science in Animal Growth Physiology>. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Animal Science, Dairy Science or a closely related field. Postdoctorate training and previous demonstrated success in research and teaching is preferred. This tenure track position combines 60% research and 40% teaching. The successful candidate would work with a team of Animal Science researchers emphasizing physiology of reproduction and interact with both human and animal physiologists and nutritionists throughout the university in development of a program in growth physiology. Responsibilities also include instruction in a graduate metabolism and growth course, an undergraduate animal nutrition course and a livestock production course.
