Placement

Abstract

The procedures to be followed by prospective employees and by firms or universities in the submission of information to be listed in this Placement section may be found in the Placement section of the July 1984 issue of this journal.

The Animal Science Department, Institute of Food and Agricultural Science, University of Florida, Gainesville is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Animal Science (Extension 4-H Livestock Specialist). This is a full-time, 12 month, tenure accruing position. The position will carry an 80% extension appointment and a 20% option in either research or teaching. The person will be expected to develop and carry on an active education program providing leadership to all 4-H and youth projects in Animal Science (beef, swine, horses and meats) and activities related to these projects. Specific responsibilities include developing new programs and literature for 4-H members and leaders, revising existing programs and materials, developing visual aids for training 4-H members, conducting member and leader training, planning demonstrations and educational events on a state level and assisting with judging contests, livestock shows, field days and other youth events.
