Abstract
Observations were carried out on 15 milking buffaloes during the optimal period of their lactation, in order to ascertain whether any relationship exists between milk yield and cooling of the body by daily wetting of the body surface.
It has been shown that during the hot months body wetting is essential. When this is not practiced as a routine, the milk yield decreases and also becomes more irregular. Such differences are found to be statistically significant.
