Outstanding Senior Awards 1984

FIRST PLACE

James N. Rugila is the 1984 National Block & Bridle Club Outstanding Senior Award winner. Jim is an Animal Science major dually enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He was a member of the 1982 Meats and 1983 Livestock Judging Team. He has worked at the MSU sheep farm, poultry farm and has served as a teaching assistant for the introductory Meat Science Lab. Jim's GPA places him among the top 10% of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at MSU. He has received numerous scholarships at the local, regional and national level. Jim has served his local club as Treasurer, Marshall and President. He has served as chairman of the MSU Little International and was Reserve Champion Showman overall in 1984. Jim has been involved in the annual Memorial Day MSU Purebred Sheep Production Sale since 1981 and served as co-chairman in 1982. Jim has received the outstanding Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior award of the MSU chapter.
