Abstract

The University of Florida seeks a Research Assistant (M.S. or Ph.D. candidate), Dairy Science Department. Responsibilities are to pursue and complete requirements for the graduate degree and to carry out research in metabolism and nutrition of dairy cattle, with special emphasis on mineral metabolism of the eurythermic and hyperthermic lactating cow. Candidate should have B.S. or M.S. in Dairy Science, Animal Science or the Biological Sciences with strong training and(or) experience in biochemistry, physiology, nutrition and laboratory techniques. Understanding and interest in ruminant animals desired. Assistantship stipend and out-of-state fee waiver available. Interested individuals contact Dr. D. K. The Department of Animal Science, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, is seeking immediately an Assistant/Associate Professor to coach the Livestock Judging Team and coordinate the livestock teaching program in either swine or beef for an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 500.
