The 76th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held August 7–10, 1984 at University of Missouri, Columbia.

News and Notes and Placement items should be submitted allowing approximately 90 days from date of submission until the Journal is received by the membership. Frequently deadline dates have expired before the Journal is received. Individuals submitting News and Notes and Placement items also are asked to consult these sections in a recent copy of the Journal for style and format, and following them would be greatly appreciated.

ATTENTION AUTHORS: Effective immediately, authors wishing to have their manuscript(s) considered for publication in the Journal of Animal Science should submit 3 copies (original and 2 carbon or xerox) of the manuscript to the Editor-in-Chief, rather than two as in past. This change is an attempt by the Editorial Board to further expedite the review process. After receiving the 3 copies, two will immediately be sent to the appropriate Section Editor and the third (edited) copy will follow at a later date, in time to be returned along with reviewers comments to the author(s) by the Section Editor.
