The Department of Animal Science, South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, announces the opening for a position as an Assistant Professor of Animal Science Meats. The position is available immediately.
The responsibilities of the position will be approximately 80% research and 20% teaching. Teaching activities will include a graduate meat science course and an advanced undergraduate meat technology course each taught in alternate spring semesters. The person will be expected to serve as an undergraduate advisor and to participate in the direction of graduate students at the Master's and Ph.D. levels. Research should include both basic and applied studies related to meat processing.
Qualifications: The individual must have a Ph.D. degree with a strong interest in and complete knowledge of meat science and muscle biology.
