The 74th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held as a joint meeting with the Canadian Society of Animal Science August 8 to 11, 1982 at the University of Guelph, Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

News and Notes and Placement items should be submitted allowing approximately 90 days from date of submission until the Journal is received by the membership. Frequently deadline dates have expired before the Journal is received. Individuals submitting News and Notes and Placement items also are asked to consult these sections in a recent copy of the Journal for style and format, and following them would be greatly appreciated.

Twelve long-term (six to ten months) and nine short-term (two to three months) research awards, without restriction as to field, are offered for 1983- 1984 by the Indo-U.S. Subcommission on Education and Culture. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at the post-doctoral or equivalent professional level.
