Abstract

Two experiments were conducted to determine the bioavailability for young pigs of Fe from ferric choline citrate or from a commercial mixture of Fe, Cu and Co choline citrate salts. Relative biological value of Fe from either source with a standard of 100 for FeSO4·7H20 was about 140 by both hemoglobin regeneration and Fe retention Methods.
