Placement

Abstract

The procedures to be followed by prospective employees and by firms or universities in the submission of information to be listed in this Placement section may be found in the Placement section of the January 1979 issue of this journal.

The Dept. of Animal Science, University of California, Davis seeks applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level in Animal Breeding and Genetics (50% teaching—50% research).

Required: a PhD in genetics or animal breeding with training in quantitative genetics and statistics. Knowledge of and interest in the livestock industry and strong interests in both undergraduate and graduate teaching are important. Development of a research program in livestock breeding would be expected.

Submit resume, transcripts, and the names and addresses of at least three persons familiar with the applicant's qualifications to: B. W. Kennedy, Search Committee, Dept. of Animal Science, University of California, Davis, CA 95616. To be certain of being considered, the completed application should be received by January 15, 1981.
