Introductory Remarks for the Symposium on Fluoride Toxicosis in Cattle1

C. B. Ammerman

University of Florida2, Gainesville 32611

Abstract

Fluorine is an important mineral element in livestock production. Whether or not it is essential for animals may be open to debate and may depend, in part, on one's definition of essentiality. The fact that it is toxic is more easily confirmed.
