Abstract

A modification of the Norman-Jenkins (1933) method for the determination of cellulose in plants and in feedstuffs is described.

Analyses of various legumes and grasses are given which indicate that this method has certain advantages over other methods for estimating the relatively indigestible carbohydrate fraction of feedstuffs.
