Minutes of the 71st Annual Business Meeting

Abstract

President Conrad J. Kercher called the meeting to order at 10:30 am, July 31, 1979 in Gallagher Theater, Student Union, University of Arizona, Tucson. Members were welcomed. The officers, Editor-in-Chief and Business Manager were introduced. Results of balloting for President-Elect and Director-at-Large were announced with introductions of Drs. W. G. Pond and H. S. Teague, respectively.

Invitation for comments concerning minutes of the 70th Annual Business Meeting as published in the December 1979 issue of the Journal of Animal Science elicited none and the subsequent motion to approve the minutes as published; the motion was seconded and approved.

The Business Manager's report was given by C. J. Cruse. The report is as follows:

The statement of Financial Position of the Society for the year ending May 31, 1979 was prepared by the accounting firm of Virgil F. Lafferty & Son and was mailed by the Business Manager to each member of the Board of Directors on June 26, 1979.
