Placement

Abstract

The procedures to be followed by prospective employees and by firms or universities in the submission of information to be listed in this Placement section may be found in the News and Notes section of the January 1979 issue of this journal.

The University of Maine Dept. of Animal and Vet Science is seeking a ruminant nutritionist-physiologist. 70 percent research, 30 percent resident instruction. Responsibilities will be to provide leadership and guidance for the departmental ruminant nutrition program and develop and execute own research program in the area of nutrient utilization and G.I. tract function.

Required: Ph.D. in animal nutrition, preferably with a minimum of 8–10 years of research and teaching experience. The applicant should be able to qualify as a Certified Animal Scientist.
