Placement

Abstract

The procedures to be followed by prospective employees and firms or universities in the submission of information and to be listed in this Placement section may be found in the News and Notes section of the December 1977 issue of this journal.

The University of California-Davis is seeking an assistant or associate professor in meat science. 50 percent teaching, 50 percent research. Teaching responsibilities will include development of an undergraduate course in meat science, a laboratory course on meat quality and carcass evaluation, and participation in a graduate meat science program leading to the Master's degree. Research with meat animal species is expected.

Required: a Ph.D. in related field with strong background and evidence of experience in meat science and livestock improvement. Applicants should submit resume, transcripts, and three letters of reference to: C. R. Ashmore, Dept. of Animal Sci., University of California, Davis, CA 95616. Applications will be accepted until February 15, 1979.
