Abstract

Dr. Hilton Briggs, a nominee of the American Society of Animal Science, is to be honored and his portrait hung in the Saddle and Sirloin Club Portrait Gallery. A banquet and unveiling of the portrait are scheduled in his honor during the North American Livestock Exposition, on November 12, 6:30 p.m., in the Mary Room of the Executive Inn West, Kentucky State Fairgrounds, Louisville, KY. Tickets, $12.50 each, may be obtained from Dr. D. Dearborn, Dean, College of Agriculture, South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD 57006, or Dr. Virgil Hays, Dept. of Animal Sci., University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40506.

Reprints of The Relation of Livestock Breeding to Theories of Evolution, presented at the 69th annual meeting of ASAS, are now available from the business office, 113 N. Neil St., Champaign, IL 61820. Twenty cents ($.20) per copy, and remittance must accompany the order.

Abstracts of papers presented at the 69th annual meeting (1977) University of Wisconsin, Madison, have been combined with the Southern, Northeast and Western Section annual meeting abstracts and printed under one cover.
