Placement

Abstract

Swine Breeding Position, Animal Science Department, Oklahoma State University. Research responsibilities include providing leadership for the swine breeding research program which is part of the North Central Regional Swine Breeding Project with special emphasis on genetic evaluation of specific mating systems and their impact on the total efficiency of producing pork.

Job Opportunities

Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate genetics and animal breeding and graduate animal breeding and population genetics courses. Course teaching load in this area will be shared with three other faculty members. The person in this position will also serve as major advisor for M.S. and Ph.D. students in Animal Breeding.

A Ph.D. in Animal Breeding or Population Genetics and an interest in working with swine are required. Persons that have demonstrated potential for effective teaching, evidence of professional productivity and high academic excellence will be given strong consideration. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
