Editorial Policy and Procedures Style and Form Information for Contributors

The Journal of Animal Science is published by the American Society of Animal Science, and its editorial policies are established by the Editor-in-Chief, Section Editors and members of the Editorial Board, subject to review by the Board of Directors and the Society.

The general policy is to publish papers reporting new work the ultimate objective of which is clearly the solution of a problem in either animal science or livestock production and the contents of which should be of interest to those dealing with such a problem. Review papers on subjects of general interest also will be considered for publication. Symposiac and invited papers sponsored by the Board of Directors will be accepted for publication unless the Board rules otherwise. All symposiac and invited papers sponsored by program committees will be subject to the same review policies as contributed papers. No acceptable paper shall be refused publication for lack of space.
