The 69th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held July 23 to 27, 1977 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Approximately 500 senior lecturers and research scholars from 64 countries representing a wide range of disciplines will be in the United States during the academic year 197677 under the sponsorship of the Fulbright-Hays program. The scholars are listed, with brief biographical data, in the 197677 Directory of Visiting Lecturers and Research Scholars, available free of charge on request to the Council.
The number of scholars in the different disciplines are as follows: medical sciences, 50; biological sciences, 63; chemistry, 38; engineering, 27; physics, 7; animal and plant sciences, 13; mathematics, 16; earth sciences, 9. There are 219 scholars in the humanities, social sciences, and education.
During their stay in the U.S., many of the scholars will be available to give talks or lectures on their specializations or about the history and culture of their home countries, providing they can arrange for brief absences from teaching or research assignments at their American host institutions.
