The 69th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held July 23 to 27, 1977 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Authors submitting manuscripts for the Applied Animal Science section of the Journal of Animal Science should use only the metric system of measurement, beginning with the January 1977 issue. This decision to use the metric system throughout all subject matter sections of the Journal was made by the Board of Directors at their August 1976 meeting in response to the recommendation of the Editorial Board. Authors preparing articles to be considered for publication in the Applied Animal Science section should comply with this change immediately to expedite the transition.

National Controlled Atmosphere Research Conference, April 5, 6 and 7, 1977. Kellogg Center for Continuing Education, Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. Research findings concerning the effects and applications of controlled atmospheres to the storage and transport of perishable meats and fresh horticultural and agronomic crops will be presented and discussed.
