The 69th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held July 23 to 27, 1977 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Managing Livestock Wastes — The Proceedings of the 3rd International Symposium on Livestock Wastes. 1975. American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Box 410, St. Joseph, Ml 49084. Tables, figures; 634 pages, hard bound; price $32.50 postpaid. The Symposium was held in April 1975 at the University of Illinois. This book contains 180 papers that touch three basic areas: (a) reports of major research studies; (b) state-of-the-art and literature reviews; and (c) case studies of livestock farms with complete waste management systems. The papers cover a number of facets associated with livestock wastes. They are grouped under twenty-nine section headings by system or subject. The concluding chapter highlights remarks made at an international forum, one of the special events held during the Symposium.
