Reports from Representatives of the Society

Abstract

The 26th Annual Meeting of the European Association of Animal Production (EAAP) was held in Warsaw, Poland June 23 to 27, 1975. The program was organized in the framework of interests as indicated by the following commissions: (1) Animal Genetics; (2) Animal Nutrition; (3) Animal Management and Health; (4) Cattle Production; (5) Sheep and Goat Production; (6) Pig Production, and (7) Horse Production.

Each commission president developed five half-day programs of 5 to 30 minute papers on specific topics within his indicated interest area. In some cases, joint programs involving two commissions on subjects of mutual interest were scheduled. Thus the program represented the interests of the Study Commission officers rather than a reporting of new research in animal science.

Two general sessions provided an opportunity for all participants to meet together. At one of the General Sessions the A.S.A.S. representative was given an opportunity to extend greeting from A.S.A.S. to the officers and members of EAAP.
