International Animal Agriculture Committee 1974–1975 Annual Report

Abstract

The Committee met on two occasions during the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science at the University of Maryland, July 28 to 31, 1974.

Program for i975 Meeting

The Committee agreed to submit proposals to the Executive Committee 1) to organize a symposium on "Livestock Production on Small Farms in Developing Countries" and 2) to collaborate with the Forage on Ruminant Nutrition Program Committee/s in developing an invitational paper sectional program on "Beef Finishing Systems Based on Forages". The Executive Committee authorized the International Agriculture Committee to develop a program sponsored symposium on "Livestock Production on Small Farms in Developing Countries" without financial support from the Society. This Committee also approved an Executive Committee sponsored symposium on "Finishing Cattle on Pasture and Other Forages" to be organized by the Forage Program Committee.
