University of Wyoming, Laramie 82071

Abstract

Three-month-old lambs were inoculated with 5,000, 10,000 or 20,000 infective Trichostrongylus colubriformis larvae in five trials. Equal numbers of lambs (controls) were maintained virtually free of helminths. All lambs were fed dehydrated alfalfa pellets.

No significant differences in average daily gain or feed efficiency were noted in the infected vs the control groups.
