Abstract

The 67th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held July 28 to July 30, 1975 at Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Frank H. Baker, a nationally prominent animal scientist and Chairman of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Animal Science, has been appointed Dean of the Division of Agriculture at Oklahoma State University. He will also carry the official titles of Director of the Cooperative Extension Service and Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station. The 51-year-old native Oklahoman will assume the Dean's post this fall, succeeding Dr. James A. Whatley.

Dr. Baker has been Chairman of the UN-L Animal Science Department since 1966. He came to Nebraska from the U. S. Department of Agriculture, where he was coordinator of Extension Animal Science education programs. He is now serving as immediate Past-President of the American Society of Animal Science Secretary of the National Beef Improvement Federation, and was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
