Abstract

Chyclophosphamide-32P was administered orally to Angora rabbits. The long term metabolism of this substance was then studied in various tissues and organs in relation to the different stages of its action on hair follicles and in relation to the safety of edible tissues. A balance study showed the following distribution of 32P: urine, 68.7%; feces, 27.8%. Maximal residue levels were reached between days 3 and S after drug administration and correspond to non-cytotoxic metabolites that subsequently were eliminated slowly.
