Abstract
THE state of hypothalamus in the roe-buck was studied karyometrically in connection with its seasonal activity. The following areas were selected for the study: supraoptic nucleus (nc.) paraventricular nc., ventromedial nc., arcuate nc. and tuberomamillary nc. The changes in cell nuclear diameter are discussed in relation with the antler cycle, thyroid activity and spermatogenesis, which were also investigated in this study.
