Abstract
THE 65th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held July 29 to August 1, 1973 at the University of Nebraska and the United States Meat Animal Research Center.
A motion was passed at the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science held in Blacksburg, Virginia, in 1972 to the effect that the "International Feed Nomenclature," described in Utah Experiment Station Bulletin 479, be used in the Journal of Animal Science beginning with the January issue in 1974.
It is suggested that authors submitting articles to the Journal begin using the nomenclature so there will be a smooth transition from the common names to the international names.
In view of the fact that some of the international names are rather long, it is suggested that the following procedure be used in preparing articles for the Journal: The first time the name of the feed is mentioned, it should be the international name followed by the international feed reference number.
