The 64th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science will be held July 30 to August 2, 1972 at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, Virginia. The American Dairy Science Association also will hold its annual meeting on the campus. The A.D.S.A. will have registration and their opening session on Wednesday, July 26, followed by the remaining sessions on July 27 through 29. The A.S.A.S. will have registration and their opening session on Sunday, July 30, with the remaining sessions taking place on July 30 through August 2. Symposia and meetings of mutual interest to the two societies are being planned for Saturday, July 29.

The A.S.A.S. Executive Committee decided at their midyear meeting that, beginning with the July issue of the Journal of Animal Science, the papers in the Applied Animal Science section would use both the U.S. and metric systems. The U.S. system will be listed first with the metric equivalent listed in parentheses immediately following.
