Abstract
This work reports research studying the influence of space allowances of 0.93 m2 and 1.11 m2 per ewe mothering either single or twin lambs. Space allotment had no significant effect on gain of suckling lambs when penned as twins or as singles; however, four animals died in one replicate where animal density was highest. Ewes and lambs adjusted well to the slotted floors, and low temperatures caused no apparent discomfort.
