Abstract
A new method for the continuous cross-circulation of jugular blood in unanesthetized sheep is described using silastic catheters and peristaltic pumps. It has been used approximately 150 times to exchange blood at the rate of 65 ml per minute during 1-hr, periods using 30 animals.
