Abstract
A technique for detection of pregnancy in ewes with intrarectal Doppler ultrasound is described. Results with 2,111 ewes indicate that pregnancy can be detected at the beginning of the second trimester with an accuracy of 90% or better. It has not been possible to distinguish between multiple and single fetuses.
