Abstract
Nine ewes were studied in seven physiological conditions. The acid-labile conjugate of aldosterone in the urine was found to be greater during gestation and during feeding of early cut orchardgrass as compared to second cutting orchardgrass hay having a lower Na/K ratio. Peak values occurred in lactating ewes fed early cut orchardgrass. The relationship of aldosterone to plasma and urine Mg is considered.
