The First National Biological Congress will be held in Cobo Hall, Detroit, Michigan, November 6 to 10, 1970. It is sponsored by the American Institute of Biological Sciences and the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. All members of the American Society of Animal Science are invited to attend. A new degree of Master of Agriculture in Animal Science, with emphasis on meat industries is now being offered at Texas A&M. The course will have fundamental training in business, marketing, economics, sanitation and food technology. Drs. Zerle Carpenter and G. T. King will direct activities in the Animal Science Department.
Associate Director J. C. Williamson, Jr., has been named Director of the North Carolina State Agricultural Experiment Station. Mr. Williamson received two degrees at North Carolina State and did additional graduate work at the University of Chicago before joining N.C. State as an Agricultural Economist in 1953.
