Abstract

Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science. The 62nd Annual Meeting of the Society will be held at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania, August 2 to 6, 1970.

6th Congress of the International Association for Cybernetics will be held in Namur (Belgium) September 7 to 11, 1970. Questions to be dealt with are: The bases and methods of cybernetics; Semantic machines; Automation; Cybernetics and the science of man; Cybernetics and life. The official language of the Congress will be French and English. For further information, write to the Secretariat of the International Cybernetics Association, Palais des Exposition, Place Audré Rijckmans, Namur (Belgium).

John A. Froseth has joined the faculty of Washington State University's College of Agriculture as assistant professor of animal sciences and assistant animal scientist. Dr. Froseth will be primarily concerned with swine programs, in both teaching and research, at Washington State University.
