Abstract

Eighty-two hemicastrate male hamsters were assigned at random to be fed for 6, 7 or 8 days various doses of ICI 33828 in five different experiments. Twenty gilts were assigned at random to be administered orally or intramuscularly 250 mg./day of ICI 33828 for 14 days. Hamsters and pigs exhibited a similar suppression of appetite and bodyweight gain. Route of administration in pigs did not significantly affect any of the parameters measured.
