Abstract

The Midwestern Section of the American Society of Animal Science will hold its seventh annual meeting at Purdue University during the ASAS meetings August 3 to 7, 1969, and no November 1969 meeting will be held. The Section's intent continues to be to provide full support of the national meetings when they are held in the Midwestern region.

The Midwestern Section of the ASAS held its sixth annual meeting in Chicago on November 29 and 30, 1968. Over 600 attended the sessions where 140 papers (abstracts in November issue Journal of Animal Science) were presented. In addition, a teaching session and two extension sessions were filled with invited papers. The officers elected for 1969 are: President, W. E. Dinusson; Vice-President, J. F. Lasley; Secretary-Treasurer, U. S. Garrigus; and Directors, J. A. Hoefer, W. H. Pfander, W. Z. Zmolek and R. O. Nesheim.

The Third International Symposium on Ruminant Nutrition will be held at Edinburgh, Scotland, August 18 to 23, 1969.
