Esophageal Abomasal Anastomosis in Lambs1

Abstract

An esophageal-abomasal anastomosis technique performed on six lambs is described in which contractibility properties of the cardia can be maintained. Proliferation of ruminal and reticular tissues, regurgitation of ingested milk, and esophagitis were not observed 4 mo. post-surgery.
