Abstract
Results of three feeding trials and one digestion trial with young pigs fed starter and grower diets prepared from hulless barley and normal barley isogenes are reported. Rate and efficiency of gains of pigs fed hulless Compana barley were superior to those fed Compana barley. Glacier barley was equal to hulless Glacier barley as a basal grain for young pigs. Differences in digestibility of the proximate composition of diets formulated with hulless Compana and Compana barleys and corn were indicated.
