Abstract
E. Knobil: Dr. Harlow, your argument to the effect that males are different from females is completely convincing and very compelling indeed. As Dr. Nalbandov said, it is extremely difficult to follow Professor Harlow on the podium and I shan't try, largely because I have no personal experience, nor for that matter, very much knowledge about the subject under discussion. I wonder if Dr. Goy, who has already said much on the subject, would like to comment first on Professor Harlow's paper?
R. W. Goy: Most of the data that we have collected at Oregon have been completely confirmatory of the information Dr. Harlow has presented here. I think that the one basis of departure between the approaches in the two centers is in the emphasis given to the gonadal factors.
