Abstract
Heritabilities and relationships among feed efficiency, gain, and feed consumption of Duroc and Hampshire pigs raised over an age-constant interval from 42 days to 154 days of age were examined to learn about the age-constant feed efficiency and the utility of selecting pigs for it. The results suggest that the feed efficiency measured over an interval of constant weights is a better criterion for selection than the age-constant feed efficiency.
