Abstract
Yearling cattle were fed fescue seed at levels of approximately 66% and 80% of the concentrate ration. No necrosis, lameness, changes in mucous membranes or blood dyscrasia were noted in the cattle during the 42 days on test. Feed consumption and weight gains were significantly less for cattle consuming fescue seed than for those consuming either corn and C.S.M. or ryegrass seed alone.
