Swine Metabolism Unit1

Abstract

A metabolism unit for pigs weighing 100 ± 50 lb. is described. The unit provides for quantitative separation and collection of feces and urine. In the design of the unit consideration was given to maintenance of animal homeostasis and ease of operation while using radioisotopes.
